2024-05-15 05:44:19 Good Yes I would recommend it for parents, SLSO’s and specialists such as OTs and Speech therapists. As a classroom teacher, I certainly developed a much better understanding of PDA but was once again left frustrated and feeling guilty because I don’t know how to apply the strategies sufficiently enough in the mainstream. I also worry that there is nothing to address the need to help these students learn to fit in with routines and rules etc so they can exist as adults in a world full of these things. it appears to be all about changing the world to revolve around them and this could be doing them a disservice as they grow older. Having said that, I do see the need to recognise the condition and make adjustments, I just feel there needs to be a balance. Thanks
